Jim Brown’s journey in the automotive industry began at just 17 in Alpharetta, GA, when he joined the original Speed Auto Repair. Starting out by changing oil, Jim quickly immersed himself in every aspect of the business. His dedication and hands-on experience laid the foundation for a career built on skill, integrity, and leadership. By 24, Jim became a partner, and by 28—back in 2000—he proudly took full ownership of Speed Auto Repair.

After two decades of success in Roswell, Jim expanded in 2020 by opening a second location in Alpharetta. Today, the business has grown to eight locations across Metro Atlanta, operating under the names Speed Auto Repair, Pure Auto Repair, Fenski Automotive Center, and North Roswell Automotive Repair. Despite this growth, Jim has ensured the company’s core values remain unchanged—delivering the same integrity-driven service that started it all.

A cornerstone of the company’s success is Tim McCord. Beginning his career at 18, much like Jim, Tim started by learning the trade from the ground up. His dedication led him to manage the Roswell shop for 15 years. Today, Tim serves as regional manager, overseeing all eight locations and ensuring every customer receives consistent, high-quality care.

Family is at the heart of Jim’s life and business. Together with his wife, Karen, they’ve raised six children—three boys and three girls.
